As a welcome alternative to “Death by Powerpoint”, we developed an animated, rugby-loving Welsh God to help instill new knowledge management practices. Gavin, god of knowledge, was an instant hit and managed to breath humour and charm into a very dry topic.
Jack Wills
shootme have produced a number of films for the fashion label Jack Wills. We thought their retro style called for something special and so our director dug out an original 1970’s Nizo super 8mm camera. Instant nostalgia.
science.TV
science.TV is a video-sharing network for the science community. We developed the brand, built the technology, and set up the streaming video facilities. Our video unit is currently working on some original content, including The Patronising Guide to Science and Right Experiment, Wrong Animal
EMI / Gorillaz
shootme was contracted by EMI to develop the web presence for the first virtual band, Gorillaz. Before any of the records had been released, and anyone knew who was behind the music and illustrations, Gorillaz.com had created a huge underground following and a thriving virtual community, which paved the way for their later mainstream success.
yourBusinessChannel
shootme.com set up the in-house production unit for yourBusinessChannel, enabling them to sustain a high-volume/low-cost output of business content for the web. We also wrote, shot and cut several original series for yBC featuring interviews with celebrity entrepreneurs and top brands.
Realworld
The connection with Peter Gabriel’s Realworld goes back as far as 1995, when shootme’s founder Matt Thurling was awarded a BAFTA for work on a pioneering CD-ROM project called Ceremony of Innocence. More recently, shootme have helped Realworld to wireframe new social and pervasive media concepts.
